SEC Review

Week 8(22)Florida-17 @ (14)Missouri-36

Missouri has proved for two weeks in a row now that they are one of the top dogs in the country.  Coming off the big upset at Georgia, they rushed into this one and pounded the Gators 36-17!  The Tigers defense was spectacular only allowing 151 yards and forced 3 turnovers!  Missouri RB Henry Josey rushed for 136 yards on 18 carries with 1 TD.

(24)Auburn-45 @ (7)Texas A&M-41

The Auburn Tigers came into this game as the underdog, but they never lost hope.  They orchestrated a great comeback after being down by 10 in the 4th Quarter.  Although Johnny Manziel had one of his best games throwing for 454 yards on 28/38 completions with 4 TDs and 2 INTs, he still couldn’t lead his team to victory.  The Tigers running game was just too much for the A&M defense.
(P.S. A&M WR Mike Evans received for 287 yards on 11 receptions with 4 TDs!)

(6)LSU-24 @ Ole Miss-27

The Ole Miss defense held one of the countries to 0 points in the 1st half!  This was just an average game for LSU, who looked to blast unranked LSU, but just got outmatched and could not overcome their mistakes in the 1st half.

SEC Preview – Week 9

 Tennessee @ (1)Alabama

Tennessee has been a big Cinderella in the SEC this year, beating many good opponents, or at least coming close.  Alabama hasn’t had much competition this year, and finally face a stable opponent.  Alabama’s defense has looked superior to all else this year.  Don’t expect a blowout, but expect a game closer than you thought it would be.  Take Alabama by 15 at home against the Volunteers, 35-20.

(21)South Carolina @ (5)Missouri

South Carolina is not looking very strong coming off a few close wins to not so very good teams, and lost to unranked opponent Tennessee.  Meanwhile on the other side, red-hot Missouri looks like one of the countries best.  Beating some of the best in the country, they are so far undefeated.  Expect the Tigers to have an easy win over the Gamecocks, 41-13.
