Sam Houston State, who lost the FCS Championship Game a year ago to North Dakota State, 17-6, finished league play @ 6-1, but lost to Central Arkansas, 24-20, also 6-1, and thus lost the tie breaker for 1st place in the Southland Conference! While Wagner lost to the Sun Belt’s, Florida Atlantic, 7-3, they did win their first round game vs the Patriot League’s Champ, Colgate, 31-20!
