Game Day, Site, & Time: Sunday (9/6/2026), @ Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI, with a 6:30 kickoff / this game is part two of the ND UW Shamrock Series!

UW- ND Game History: The Irish & Badgers have met on the gridiron on 17 occasions, ND leads the series, 9-6-2. 1st played in 1900, Wisconsin won, 54-0 , in Madison, while the 2nd meeting took place in Milwaukee, WI, Bucky won again, 58-0. The 3rd meeting, a 27-0 Badger win. UW outscored ND, 139-0 in their 1st 3 games. Finally, in 1917, the Irish played the Badgers to 0-0 tie. Knute Rockney (1918-1931) & Frank Leahy (1941-1943 / WWII / 1946-1953) showed up @ ND and things began to shange! In 2024 (the legendary 4 Horesmen played), ND won, 38-3, in Madison, the Irish then won or tied, (7-1-1) 7 of the next 9 games. The Badgers played in the Rose Bowl in 1963, / based on the results of the 1962 season (1st time in Bowl history the #1 team in the country played the #2 team). USC was the#1 team in the country (beat the Irish that year, 25-0). The Trojans jumped on UW 42-14, before Wisconsin made a furious comeback (23 unanswered points in the 4th quarter, 42-37 final) Bucky beat the Irish in 1962, 17-8, in Madison & again in 1963, 14-9, @ Notre Dame Stadium. Then Ara Parseghian arrieved @ ND (from Northwestern) & ND won in 1964, 33-6, in Madison. The teams did not play again for 57 years, a Shamrock series tilt, in Chicago, in 1921. The Irish won, 41-13! The score is misleading, as the Badgers led the game early in the 4th Quarter, 13-10, then the Badgers committed 4 TO’s (3 INT & 1 fumble) 2 of the picks resulted in pick 6’s, 1 to a FG, and the fumble to a TD! That said, when UW took that 13-10 lead, ND ruturned the ensuing KO for a TD! Nd scored 31 unanswered points in the 4th!

Shamrock Series: The series was launched in 2009, as an attempt to get ND playing @ neutral site venues in iconic stadiums accross the U.S. The concept was to take Notre Dame’s National Brand to its large fan base by playing in, primarily NFL or Pro baseball stadiums Stadiums, located in varius regional parts of the country. The series was 1st played on Oct. 31, 2009, @ the Alamodome, in San Antonio, TX! The Irish took down, Washington State, 40-14, in the innagoral event. It should be noted that, Notre Dame, has never lost a Shamrock Series Game!

• ND comes into the game as the nations 4 ranked team in the AP Poll (writers)
• Coaches preseason poll has the Irish as the country’s 5th ranked team
• Sporting News agrees and ranked ND as the 5th best in college FB
• Athlon Sports has the Fighting Irish 4th best in the country
• Lindy Sports agrees, ND is the nations 4th best team
• Phil Steele’s has the Irish as the Nations best … #1
• Sullys College Football Page (SCFP) agrees, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish enter the 2026 season as the Country’s best
• Wisconson is coming off its worst season (4-8) in 2025 since its 2-9 record in 1989
• All of that said, the Badgers are better, clearly better than Marshall (who beat ND, 28-21) in 2022 & UNI who beat ND in 2024 (16-14)
• Both of these wins were against Marcus Freeman coached teams & @ Notre Dame Stadium!
• SCFP is predicting the Badgers to win 8 games in 2026 and return to the Bowl Season!
