As the Irish prepare to face SC, a SECond challenge looms in the balance

For the first time in over 300 AP top 25 editions for college football, ND is #1, and they managed to do so in unanimous fashion.  After Oregon fell at home in OT to the Stanford Cardinal (a team ND beat at home in OT) and Kansas State was blown out by unranked Baylor, the Irish were all but assured the #1 spot, as they remain the only undefeated team in the country that is eligible for the championship game.  However, ND still must find a way to beat arch-rival SC on the road this coming week if they hope to play for it all.  With that in mind, here are our latest Bowl Projections – Stay tuned over the next few weeks, as we will be updating this regularly.

*As an aside note, Vegas has interestingly enough said that if the game indeed does happen like it is looking like, Alabama will be a 10 point favorite over ND.
