PAC 12 Showdown: UCLA @ Stanford

(13) Stanford @ (9) UCLA

Only a week after losing an unsuspected heartbreaker to the Utah Utes 27-21, the Stanford Cardinal will have to travel to the Rose Bowl to take on QB Brett Hundley and the undefeated UCLA Bruins.  This will definitely be a difficult task for the Cardinal to rebound after that kind of loss, considering it knocked them from the ranks of the unbeaten and sent QB Kevin Hogan home with his first-ever loss as a starting quarterback.  The Bruins, on the other hand, will need to try and win this game to keep their hold on first place in the PAC-12 South and set up a potential PAC-12 Championship showdown with (2) Oregon.  The Bruins are led by Hundley, who has thrown for over 1,400 yards this season, along with 12 touchdown passes.  Their rushing attack stars RB Jordan James, who is averaging over 6 yards per carry, but most of their offense stems from the passing attack.  The Cardinal, on the other hand, have a very stingy defense, and a revamped passing attack from a year ago; which instead of relying on tight ends for their receiving, now rely on stellar WR Ty Montgomery, who has 31 receptions for 514 yards and 5 touchdowns.  Kevin Hogan, along with Montgomery, will have to have a very good game in order for the Cardinal to not drop two straight conference games and get back into the PAC-12 Championship picture to defend their conference title.
